We achieve so much more working together

Teachers

The development of our teachers is at the centre of providing the best possible learning experience for our children. We aim to provide professional learning opportunities for our teachers with an avenue to access resources across Early Years, KS1 and KS2. Learning opportunities are also to include training for Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs). We share best practice and work collaboratively to support teaching staff to inspire and challenge one another that leads to results.

Mission Statement

SSF-SCITT mission is to develop outstanding school-led primary initial teacher training programmes, integrated with the Teaching School expertise that engages schools in the Partnership in leading the training of high calibre recruits to become outstanding members of the teaching profession in Surrey and its bordering counties.

An Introduction to Surrey South Farnham SCITT (SSF)

Surrey South Farnham SCITT (SSF) is an ITT partnership based on the South Farnham Teaching School Alliance, but drawing on the opportunities available to trainees in a large and expanding group of primary schools across the whole of Surrey and its borders.  SSF is the only primary SCITT partnership that has partner schools right across the county, and now, even further afield into neighbouring counties. It is also the only SCITT operating in Surrey that has an 'outstanding' Ofsted rating (March 2014). Surrey LA is a key partner within SSF and includes Babcock 4S as the delivery agent.  SSF has developed out of the Surrey LA Graduate Teacher Programme, which in 2012/13 entered its tenth and final year of operation.  Whilst developing a unique and distinctive school-led programme, SSF has built on the qualities of the Graduate scheme. The programme is built around a trainee having an on-going experience in one host school together with a six week experience in a contrasting school and several subject-related short experiences in outstanding primary schools.
